Udar bhare...

Udar bhare bhar soye

We have accepted external things to be sources of happiness. He sings well; he has nice voice. He plays the tabla well. We did not try to go internally; we didn’t practice going to the heart of the matter. Granted the mind is sinful, but at least feel badly about it. If you try 50 times, the mind will go to God just once. Tomorrow it will go to God after 49 tries. Day after tomorrow it will go to God after 48 tries. If you persevere in your practice, the mind will eventually start meditating on God. When you were born, you didn’t know how to turn sides. Think about it! A baby has such soft, delicate skin, and it just lays on its back. Now you are 6 feet tall; you are big and strong. But how do you feel when the doctor prescribes complete rest for a few days after surgery? You think to yourself, “Oh God! I’m going to die.” Imagine how a delicate little child feels.

From that point you went on to being an adult and you started walking and running. No Jagadguru comes to lecture to a baby, “Listen, son, you should try to sit. Now that you are able to sit, you should try to stand up.” The child doesn’t speak or understand words, but still he becomes so successful. You have all gone through these stages in your life. Why do you accept defeat in the Godly area? You often say, “What can I tell you? I understand everything, but it just doesn’t happen.” “Happen?” Tell me something. Does anything happen by itself? You are all sitting here fully clothed. Did you get dressed automatically? Did the clothes automatically fall around your body and get you dressed? No, no. I took a bath. Then I put on different articles of clothing and covered my body. Why don’t you go without clothes? What will people think? Oh, you care so much about what people say, but you don’t care about the soul. Do you even care about what will happen to you once you die? You are so careful about clothes. Women keep fixing their sari all day long; men keep adjusting their tie all day long. Everything should be in place.

We are careful about things related to the body. When it comes to the mind, we do what it wants to do. We like listening to the mind; what can we do? The mind tells us to go to sleep; it tells us to gossip; it tells us to go here and there. This is a very bad thing. Realize your carelessness; feel badly about it. Bring the mind to the forefront and then do what you have to do. Recite the daily prayer, perform arti, do something else, or do nothing. Just meditate with the mind. But if you do anything without the attachment of the mind, God will not take note. It’s like multiplying into zero. Whether you multiply zero into zero, or a million into zero, the end result will be zero.

Without the attachment of the mind, devotion practiced with the senses, is not accepted; God doesn’t take note of it. It’s called ‘acting,’ and to put on an act in front of God is not good. If you act in the world, it’s very well and good. In the world, where you should put on an act, you work in ‘fact,’ whereas with God, where you should be genuine, you put on an ‘act’. You are careless where you should be careful. This is not good. Start taking care. Resolve to yourself that from today onwards, you will involve the mind in devotional practice. Then you will see how far you will reach within even 10 days.

You have heard about Valmeeki, who couldn’t utter even the name of Ram. Did you ever think how he and others became God-realized? They took a firm resolve and succeeded. They who were overcome by lust, anger and greed, succeeded. Tulsidas was so attached to his wife that in the darkness he mistook a snake to be a piece of rope. So lustful he was, for his own wife! But then he took a resolve to practice devotion, and he attained Ram. Valmeeki wrote the Ramayan (story of Ram) even before Ram’s descent.

Everything can happen with practice. So, you must stop being careless.

Although Supreme....

“Although Supreme God is only one, yet there are two aspects of God. One is the aspect with personal form known as Sakar Braham and the other is the formless aspect known as Nirakar Braham. Although the Divine bliss of both aspects is unlimited, yet the sweetness of the personal form of God such as, Bhagwan Ram or Bhagwan Krishn, surpasses the blissfulness of Nirakar Brahm called Brahmanand.

The Divine bliss of the personal form of God as described in our scriptures is even desired by the greatest gyanis such as creator Brahma, Shukdeoji, and King Janak.”

Oh Mother...

Oh mother! Divine Barsana abode is my home. Here only Shri Radha, who is an ocean of love and bliss, is our Queen and supreme Governess. In this divine abode, loving leelas are enacted in many woodland places such as Gahvarvan, Vrishabhanu-kunda, Prema Sarovara, and many others. Divine Vrindavana, which is unattainable even by Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, is our capital. Here we always enjoy the supreme bliss of mahārāsa, and stroll in its flowering arbours and bowers with our queen, Shri Radha. In this land, supreme God Shri Krishna Himself sweeps the footpath to prepare it for Shri Radha, and every moment He anxiously awaits Her arrival. Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj says, “We, too, stroll leisurely in this divine abode, intoxicated with the nectarean wine of divine love, always chanting Radhey, Radhey.”

What is Sanatan Dharm?

What is Sanatan Dharm?

The religion which eternally exists in God, which is revealed by God, which describes the names, forms, virtues and the abodes of God, and which reveals the true path of God realization for all the souls is called Sanatan Dharm, the universal religion for the whole world.

The word dharm is formed from the root word dhryan (dhryan dharne); it means such actions and such spiritual or religious practices that finally result in all-good for a soul. A general description of dharm is:

It means that such actions, thoughts and practices that promote physical and mental happiness in the world (abhyudaya) and ensure God realization (nishreyas) in the end, are called dharm.

There are two kinds of dharmas: (a) Apar dharm, or varnashram dharm, or seemit dharm, or general dharm, and (b) par dharm or bhagwat dharm.

(a) Apar dharm, or varnashram dharm, or seemit dharm, or general dharm. The word dharm means the religious practices and thoughts that are aimed to fulfill a pious goal in life. Accordingly the apar or varnashram dharm is the religious discipline and injunctions of do’s and don’ts that are explained in the scriptures for uplifting the sattvic qualities of a human being in general. Varnashram word refers to all kinds and classes of people of this world living various orders of life (like a family man, a priest, a monk or a sanyasi), and apar word means ‘secondary’ or ‘general’ or ‘preliminary’ because it is not the absolute or prime dharm, it is the preliminary dharm for everyone in the world.

The discipline and rules of apar dharm vary according to the state of the spiritual consciousness of a person, and its rigidness also varies from age to age, that is, from satyug to kaliyug. In short you can understand that (for the existing age) all kinds of good deeds and philanthropic works that are beneficial to the society, and sincere observance of the religious discipline of the ‘order of life’ (religious student, family man, or a renounced person) you are following, come in this category, provided, that they are done with sattvic motivation. Sattvic motivation means having faith in God and then doing all the good karmas only to please God and not for any kind of personal gain. Even if you think of receiving compliments for your good karmas or the religious practices which you observe, it will not be classified as sattvic, it will become rajas, because you desired for the compliments and you have received them. Thus you have already availed the outcome of your so-called good deeds. According to the Gita:

There is hardly any further good outcome of such good looking karmas in the next lifetime.

So, apar dharm means good karmas with sattvic motivation where a person is devoted to God in a conventional manner, which means a general faith in all the forms of God. Such good karmas pacify the mind of the doer in the existing life, and in the next lifetime they create a good destiny which is called ‘abhyudaya’ that brings physical and mental well-being in a person’s life.

(b) Par dharm or bhagwat dharm. This is the main dharm which brings the absolute good (the nishreyas) of a soul, and the absolute good of a soul is only God realization which happens through the direct devotion to God in His personal form. It is called bhakti. It gives both, peace and happiness in life as well as God realization. Apar dharm is the general dharm for all and is only a preliminary dharm, which is like the preparatory practice for entering into bhakti for those who cannot accept it in their life right away. Bhakti is above all the religious formalities, rituals and intellectual practices of meditation. In one sentence you can say that bhakti is the true ‘love’ for your soul-beloved God. It could be observed by any person of the world. It is universal; it is for every age; it is said and revealed by God Himself; and it is sanatan which means eternal. Thus, the dharm which is based on such bhakti, which is eternally established in bhakti, and which establishes bhakti for God as a universal religion of the world, is called Sanatan Dharm.

God is: “dharmadhishthan.” It means that the Sanatan (eternal) Dharm is established in God and resides in God as a Divine power. It is revealed by God through Brahma before the human civilization and is represented through the Upnishads and the Puranas.

The forms of God.....

The Forms of God and Their Divine abodes.

One should not get confused about the celestial gods. Celestial gods are only the sattvic manifestations of maya. Out of them 8 are important: Indra, Brihaspati, Kuber, Surya (sun god), Varun (god of water), Agni (god of fire), Vayu (god of air) and Prajapati; and out of eight, two are prominent: Indra and Prajapati. Brahma is the supreme authority in the celestial world and he is the creator of our brahmand. These gods have in no way any relation to devotion to the supreme God.

There are mainly six forms of the same one single God that reveal and represent: His knowledge, His vision and Bliss, and His Divine love. They are termed as: chit shakti, the power of knowledge; sandhini shakti, the power of almightiness which also has Blissfulness; and hladini shakti, the power of affection or the Bliss of Bliss whose efflorescence is called ‘Divine love.’ In general, all the forms of God are the form of Bliss with Their special characteristics.

All the six forms of God relate to these three powers and every form of God has His own Divine dimension or abode called lok. These forms and Their abode are: (1) Nirakar brahm (the formless aspect of God that represents only the knowledge aspect or the chit shakti of God). This Divine existence, where all the liberated souls of Gyanis and Yogis enter, is called brahm drav. It is also called avyakt shaktik brahm, which means that it is such an aspect of God where all of His Divine attributes and virtues are in an absolutely dormant state; that’s why it remains formless (nirakar). (2) God Vishnu, (3) God Shiv, and (4) Goddess Durga. The abode of all the three forms of God is collectively called Vaikunth (or param vyom) and it is the form of sandhini shakti. These are the almighty forms of God. (5) God Ram, His abode is called Saket, and (6) God Krishn, He has three abodes, Dwarika, Golok and Vrindaban. Bhagwan Ram and Krishn are the Divine love forms of God, whereas Bhagwan Ram reveals the modest form of Divine love mixed with almightiness, and Bhagwan Krishn reveals and represents the intimate, more intimate, and the most intimate forms of His Divine love in His three abodes (respectively). These four abodes are related to hladini shakti, the Divine love power.

These are thus the six forms of the same one single God. There are some more forms of God which are mentioned in the scriptures, like: Ganesh, Kartikeya, Gauri, Kali, Nav Durga, Saraswati etc. All of these forms are the affiliates of the almighty forms of God of Vaikunth abode, God Vishnu, God Shiv, or Goddess Durga.

This philosophy of the forms of God and His abodes has been extensively described in the scriptures in various ways and in thousands and thousands of verses. We have compiled, consolidated and reconciled the whole philosophy and kept it here in an easily understandable form.

Sometimes some people leisurely ask that the other religions of the world have only one God, why then the Hindu religion have more than one form of God? First thing you should know is, that such questioners are just casual talkers. They are not interested in knowing God, because, if they really want to know, they could properly study our religion and find out the greatness of and the depth of the descriptions of God in our scriptures. However, the answer is that the other religions of the world either have ‘no true Divine God’ or have only adopted the ‘impersonal aspect of God.’

‘No true Divine God’ means that although some religions use the word God in the tenets of their religious books but the ‘concept of God’ whatever they have is only a vague mythology derived on the intellectual grounds of the first promoters of that religion. So the ‘word’ God is there in their religion, but it does not relate to the true Divine God; and some religions of the world mention God only in an impersonal (nirakar) form. But in Hindu religion, the Sanatan Dharm, there is a detailed and complete philosophy of God from nirakar brahm to the most loving form of God, Krishn.

So the one and the same Gracious God eternally appears in various forms of His Divine dignity and Divine lusciousness Who is approachable through bhakti, which evokes His Grace that reveals any of the forms of God, whatever a devotee desires.

Kinds of Divine liberation.

Liberation from the eternal bondage of maya is not the outcome of any amount of good karm or spiritual practice or devotion. Sincere, honest, humble, dedicated and correct practice of meditation or devotion or selfless good karm only evolves the sattva gun and purifies the heart of the doer. On the perfect purification of the heart, which happens with selfless bhakti, the gyani or bhakt devotee receives God realization and then he is liberated from the bondage of maya. The liberation is primarily of two kinds: (1) Gyani Saint’s liberation, and (2) Bhakt Saint’s liberation. Gyani Saint’s liberation is a nonexperiential state called kaivalya mokc◊h, but Bhakt Saint’s liberation is an absolute experience of the Divine Bliss of the Divine abode of the form of God he has worshipped. The Bhagwatam (3/29) details the states of a Bhakt Saint’s liberation.

The mind of a gyani or yogi Saint (after his death) is terminated and his soul joins the nirakar Divinity called brahm drav. His personal identity is permanently terminated and his soul enters an absolutely no-experience (kaivalya) state forever; whereas the mayic mind of a Bhakt Saint (upon God realization) is instantly replaced with the Divine mind and the Divine senses of that form of God which he has realized. Thus, his material identity is replaced with the Divine identity (body, mind and senses), and, with this Divine body (after his death) he enters the Divine abode of his beloved God (which is omnipresent) and perceives and enjoys the absolute Bliss of that abode forever. This is the liberation of a Bhakt Saint. Thus, a Vishnu Bhakt goes to Vishnu’s abode, Shiv Bhakt goes to Shiv’s abode and Durga Bhakt goes to Durga’s abode, and so on. All of these abodes of the almighty forms of God are collectively called the Vaikunth abode. A Ram Bhakt goes to Saket and a Krishn Bhakt goes to Krishn’s abode. If he has worshipped Dwarikadhish Krishn, he goes to Dwarika abode; if he has worshipped Krishn of Golok, he goes to Golok abode; and if he has worshipped Radha Krishn or Krishn of Vrindaban, he goes to Vrindaban abode.

Every Bhakt Saint enjoys the unlimited Bliss of the Divine abode he is in, in its absoluteness. However, the lusciousness and the enchanting fascination of the Divine Bliss progressively goes on increasing in an absolute fashion from Vaikunth to Vrindaban abode. Thus, one single Divine Bliss appears in a number of unimaginably amazing forms.

O My Mind..

O my mind, living in Braj is very special. It is a significant Grace of Radha Rani. It happens only when one has great good Sanskars of past life. Now, O my mind, be humble, selfless, and wholeheartedly surrender to your beloved Master, and always try to please him with your sincere services; and always remember your beloved Radha Krishn and your Gracious Master in your heart and keep on singing Their virtues. Remember, that this life of yours is short-lived (chanbhangur), so don't unnecessarily waste even a single moment of your life. (Keep on singing and remembering Their names, leelas and virtues all the time.) All the holy places of India could be sacrificed on the greatnes of Vrindaban Dham and that also could be sacrificed on the abode of my supreme Spiritual Master where he resides (because it is the unlimited Divine Grace of the Master which breaks the bondage of maya and reveals the Divine vision, thus...) When my heart and mind will be lovingly attached with my supreme Spiritual Master Jagadguru Shree kripaluji Maharaj. Krishn will automatically come running to me.Krishn reveals Himself when a devotee's heart is completely purified, but for the fallen and sinful souls, only the Spiritual Master is the helper, protector and uplifter...

Aim of your Life...

People have made different ideologies. Many say, oh, just serve human beings. Some say, oh, just feed yourself and be happy. Some say, oh, it's all rubbish, think of God. Some say, oh, you are God, who to think? Instead of becoming a devotee of God, become God, direct. Just like some New Age people in America. I have met quite a few. There are walking gods on the street. And to your amazement, I met a few who really believe, I met some girls who believe. Astonishing. However, there are many kinds of aims, people say, is the aim of your life. So, what is the actual aim of your life your own self determines. Your own self. As I expressed before, you see, every being feels pain, every being. And every human being feels double pain because he is understanding. For instance, if you cut the branch of a tree it feels pain because its one arm is cut. If you kill an animal it feels pain, just physical pain. But if you just slap a person, what happens? He feels pain, somewhere he is being slapped. But he feels more pain in his mind, this person slapped me, I'll kill him. What is this? It's your intelligence. You have a developed mind, so you have developed imagination. So, human being feels double pain: physical pain and mental pain. So, mental pain is greater than physical pain, if you compare. All through your life, you have more mental pain than physical pain. Means you have more pain in your life, physical and mental, collectively than other beings of this universe, normally speaking.

So, you don't want pain, but you have. You want pleasure. You get sometimes, but momentarily. One thing is constant, your pain is constant, and moments of happiness they come and go at times. You don?t this thing, you want happiness. That's the aim of life. Very clear. So, the aim of your life, the aim of human life is, the purpose is to be perfectly happy, physically and mentally. Physically happy, mentally happy, perfectly happy, is the only aim of human life. There is no other aim, which you can determine, and you know from your heart. Because whatever you do, you do it to please yourself, whatever you do. No matter if it is right or it is wrong. Whatever you do, just to please yourself, make yourself happy. To make yourself comfortable, to please yourself, you do things in the world. Think of this aspect and you'll see to the one who thinks doing service to the world, so this service is the best aim of life. Why it is that? Because that person feels happy in serving other people. And at the same time, improving his vanity that he is a social servant. There is no social servant on this earth who has no vanity, except Saints.

some people say, oh, think of God, do meditation, and be happy. They think that this worldly entertainments, they are not enough. They must have something more, and you probably you might get from achieving some kind of internal powers. So they read yoga books, and they read the descriptions of sidhis and things, the first thing that comes in their mind, if they could get that power they could influence their friends, influence the audience, and feel great. The feeling of one?s being great is a very happy feeling. So, they want to be happy in their own terms. Now, come to the people who think of God in true sense. They believe that the psychic powers, worldly entertainments, physical entertainments, whatever they are, all those luxuries and good things of this world they are temporary. They give you temporary peace, temporary happiness, not lasting. That person thinks he is going to live even after this life, life after life, so he has to find some eternal companion, eternal happiness which is lasting, not transitory. Should be everlasting happiness, so he comes to God and worships Him, and tries to find His love.

So you see, all of these people, they are only trying to become happy, from a very selfish person to a sincere, selfless devotee of Godhead Personality. Everyone is trying to make himself happy. So you cannot make any other aim of your life. Only aim of life is to make yourself happy. But are they right or wrong? That is another thing. So, the purpose only is to make yourself happy. The only aim of your life. But, all these worldly things, up to psychic abilities, they increase your desire. Desires are never fulfilled, and you always remain unhappy. Even if you are physically happy, your mind remains unhappy, worried, puzzled, disgusted, and painful. If you come to God, because He is only Love, you receive His world. In this world, as I said, you receive most of the pain in your mind, because of your wrong judgments. And all this world is neither painful nor blissful, it's just neutral. You like something, someone dislikes that thing. Someone likes that thing, you dislike that thing. What is all that? Your liking, your disliking, your own liking and disliking. You create things on this earth.

So most of it is your own creation. But if you come to God, He has no maya, no material power in His abode, only Divine power, only Divine Love, only Divine abode. He is only the form of Love, form of happiness. He is eternal, He is omnipresent, and He will remain forever. You cannot find anything or any person in this world who can help you all the time even for one single lifetime. But if you find a Divine companion, He will stay with you forever. Even if you die and are reborn, He is there. You are dead again, and reborn, He is still there. He will follow you. You have to just hold Him tight, that?s all. He won?t leave you. You might forget Him, He'll not forget you. Because He has very big mind, He forgets any of His devotees, no matter wherever they are because He is omnipresent. He is present everywhere, so He never forgets you. So, if you just remember Him, start remembering Him, in one lifetime He will hold you, and if you find Him, you can be happy forever.

So, the purpose of human life is to become completely happy, physically, mentally, emotionally, and that happiness can be found only through the Love of God. So, that's all.
