"Without devotion to Shri Krishna even the purification of the mind is not possible." All the scriptures unanimously declare that without devotion or surrender to God, it is impossible to attain God. To achieve the ultimate goal of life the following process is recommended: First, surrender to your Guru serve him with your whole being and completely follow his instructions for practicing devotion to God. Always regard God and your Guru to be one. By this practice, when your mind becomes completely purified, your Guru will grace you with Divine love. Immediately you will attain your goal of Divine Bliss and you will be freed from the bondage of Maya and the effect of three modes of Maya, triguna, the three humours of the body, tridosha, the five afflictions, panchaklesha and the five material sheaths covering the soul, panchakosha will be removed forever. There are contradictory views in our scriptures regarding the means to attain God. On the side it is stated that devotion is the only means, but on the other side, sankirtana is declared as the best means in Kali yuga to attain God.
koti koti muni yatna karahim,
anta rama kahi avata nahim
(Ramayana)
Even the greatest of yogis and sages, who make innumerable efforts to remember God's name during their lifetime, fail to take  His name at the final moment.  In the world, people use various techniques like hanging Shri Krishna's pictures everywhere in the room of a dying person and placing the Gita on his chest and dropping the holy water of the river Ganges into his mouth. But none of these techniques helps. because of the intolerable pain of death, no one's mind and intellect can function. Then the question of the senses working, does not even arise. Therefore, while dying it is quite impossible for anyone to call out or even remember somebody. It is only possible for the person who leaves his body of his own free will, and not for Ajamila or anybody else. Only a God realized saint, who leaves his body of his own free will, can do so.
Many times I have explained to you, how the soul of a saint departs from his body. There are a total of 720 million nadis or subtle channels in our body. Out of these nadis, 101 are directed towards the head, and among these, one penetrates the centre of the head. This is the track taken by the soul of a God realized Saint while leaving the body. However, Yamaraja, the God of death, personally approaches a Saint before his leaving the body. He offers his obeisances at his lotus feet and humbly reminds him, The time period that you had decided to be on this earth is over. If you desire, you may stay longer or leave for your divine abode, Goloka. Since no law is applicable to a Saint, Yamaraja cannot compel him to leave his body. Yamaraja approaches even God during His descension period. You must have heard or read about the meeting between Yamaraja and Shri Ram. As Shri Rama's servant, it was Yamaraja's duty to remind Him that eleven thousand years were over. He said, "You are the Lord of the entire universe. You can choose to either stay or leave. I have just come to remind You that the period of Your descension is over."
So Yamaraja pays his obeisances, then the soul of a God realized Saint departs from the body following the upward route; carried by sunrays he crosses the universe and arrives at God's divine abode. He leaves the body out of his own free will. However, a worldly person due to his strong attachment to his relatives does not happily want to leave the world and so his soul is forcibly separted from the body by the messengers of Yamaraja. That is why at the time of death, he wants all his loved ones around him. This is my mother, this is my father, this is my child, this is my grandchild, these are all my relatives. He wants to embrace everyone, as though he would attain God in this manner! However, all this happens before death while one still has consciousness. At the time of death a worldly person cannot remember anyone as his mind and intellect cease functioning. However, a Saint has no attachments to this world, not even to his own body. Therefore, he leaves his body out of his own free will. He constantly remembers God, whether he takes God’s name or not he definitely goes to God’s abode.

antavattu phalam tesham tadbhavatyalpamedhasam
devandevayajo yanti madbhakta yanti mamapi
(Gita 7.23)
“One attains, after death, whatever one is attached to in one’s lifetime. Those who worship celestial gods go to the celestial gods, but those who love Me, come to Me.”

yanti devavrata devanpitriinyanti pitrivratah
bhutani yanti bhutejya yanti madyajino’pi mam
(Gita 9.25)
“Those who worship the celestial gods will go to the celestial gods, those who worship their ancestors will go to the ancestors, those who worship lower beings will go to the lower beings but those who worship Me, will come to Me.” From above it is clear that whoever we are attached to is what we will attain. Even a paramahamsa (self-realized soul) like Bharata developed attachment for a baby deer. At the time of his death he was concerned about the fawn’s welfare and consequently he received the body of a deer in his next birth. When such was the state of a great paramahamsa, then how could an ordinary human being remember God or chant His names at the time of death and attain Divine Bliss? One has to think now about one’s welfare and act accordingly. Thus there is no importance to the verbal chanting of God’ name at the time of death. All that matters is loving remembrance of God. The cause of bondage and of liberation is the mind. Whether you verbally chant or not, your mind should be attached to God. Deaf, dumb and blind, attain God. Suradasa, who was blind, attained God. There is no need for the external senses; the mind alone is required for constant loving remembrance of God.

Kishori Radhe..........

Humble longing rises in the heart of a devotee and he says; O my Kishori Radhey; You are my only hope and you are my only refuge.Only you know how fallen i am.O kishori Radhey;no one else knows the wickedness of my heart except you.I do not desire for worldly happiness or liberation,O my Kishori Radhey;I only want you to look at me as if i am yours and i belong to you.knowing this, that you have accepted me as yours,O My kishori Radhey; i will be madly thrilled and drowned in your love. Then there will be no place for material desires and anxieties in my mind, and,O My Kishori Radhey;the four great things of life (dharm, arth, kaam, moksh) will lose attraction and will become tasteless for me.O My Radhey,You Are the only beloved of my heart and soul.you may love me or hit me,O My sweet Radhey;Do whatever you like, but, please come to me.

Guru Kripa.......

Our Guruvar Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj is grace and kindness personified. It means grace is all around, both inside and outside. This is how he truly is. The word Kripalu itself means one who showers grace and kindness all around. One may come to him with good intention or bad he will impart his grace on all regardless of their intention. It seems the whole existence of our Guruvar is made of grace. Every moment of life whether he is sleeping or awake, he is bestowing his grace on all living beings. The day we accept him as hundred per cent Kripalu, the Embodiment of Grace, we will attain our goal.

Gurum bhajati Shree Krishnah Shree Krishnam bhajate Guruh.

Siddhant-tastva-bhedepi Kripalurme Gurur-mahan.

(A true Guru is the form of the power of grace which is synonymous with God, thus) Guru adores Krishn and Krishn adores Guru. Virtually both are one and the same, however my supreme Guru, is still superior (because it is he who redeems the transgressions of a devotee, fosters our devotional love for Radha Krishn and makes him qualified to receive Their Divine vision).

Yasya sakchat bhagwati gyandeep-prade Gurau.

Martya siddheeh shrutam tasya sarvam kunjar shauchavat.

The Guru who ignites the flame of Divine knowledge in the heart of a devotee is God Himself but, the one who considers the Divine Guru as a human being (even though he may have accumulated great liyeral knowledge of the scriptures), is completely ignorant and his spiritual knowledge is totally useless like an elephant's bath.

Esha vai Bhagwan sakchat pradhan purusheshvarah.

Yogeshwarair-vimrigyam-ghrir-lokoyam manyate naram.

Whose Gracious foot dust is desired by the great yogis and gyanis and Who is the supreme controller of soul and maya, He Himself descends on the earth planet as Guru. But, (see the fallacy of the world that,) the ignarant souls think of him as an ordinary human being.

I want to take every spiritual aspirant along on the path of progress and I will certainly help him unles he himself is unwilling to proceed. How can it be that I will leave anybody half way in his spiritual journey! The progress of a particular person depends on the situation in which he is. Till such time as he keeps himself away from the path of devotion, he will be away from the Guru's protection. Kripalu will also be kind to take him again in his fold, even though that person had committed innumerable sins before..

The only price one has to pay for God realization is to surrender to the Guru. why do not people surrender to the Guru? It because they are not sincere in performing the duties given to them by the Guru. For example when they are instructed by the Guru to participate in the kirtan (chanting of God's name), they tend to think that the kirtan will continue until the next morning and the Guru having left to retire, they can also go to sleep and rejoin the kirtan early in the morning. And the Guru will never come to know of it. This insincerity in one's nature is the cause of one's downfall. This is the reason why people fall down on their way to their cherished goal. When the Guru asks you for something why should you consult your intellct? why don't you think that when you were born, you did not even have the clothes on your body? They were given to you either by God or by the Guru. So if everything that you have belongs to the Guru, why do you hesitate for a moment to part with it? Think on it over and over again.

God and the Saints are the two personalities who may appear as if They ere not part of a sadhak's existence by Their external behavior; They can make him feel the pangs of separation, whereas in fact They are never separate from him internally. Even when our mortal body leaves us They continue to be with us. They are with us even in the hell and also in the Vaikunth, the abode of Vishnu. We should never entertain the thought that They will leave us alone. We should not only think but feel so....

So giving the spiritual knowledge is a great grace of the guru. The knowledge which we could not gain despite having made all efforts in infinite number of lifetimes, the same knowledge was so easily given to us by our Guru. The degree of benefit will therefore depend on how much faith you have, how important or valuable is the Guru in yor estimation and how mch detached you are. It is the Saint's second big grace that he gave you the spirital knowledge... So about the IMPORTANCE OF THE SAINT, the more you realize the more benefited you will be. If you have seen the Saint just once, this itself is a special grace on you. No amount of rituals, sacrifices, charity and penance can get you the association of a Saint. It may be possible for one to see God, but it i not so with the Saint as he is greater than God.

If we are able to do something good, if a tear trickles from our eyes for God, if we have some good word and noble feeling for the Guru, we must conclude that it is all due to the Guru's grace. We must always keep in mind that if we had not met the Guru, if he had not shown us the way, and had not given us his love and affection, we would not have inclined towards God.We should attribute our good deeds to the God's grace and the grace of the Guru and for all the wrong that we may have done, we should hold ourselves responsible.

Do not spoil your idle time. In fact, we do not make good use of our spare time and that causes negative feelings of despair to set in. The best remedy of this problem is not to let your mind remain idle. Wherever you go, engage yourself in the thoughts of God.So the only way to get rid of frustration is to contemplate repeatedly on the Guru's grace.....

What else can you offer? Is it some material thing that you would offer? But EVERYTHING IN THIS WORLD BELONGS TO HIM. How can you say it is your? Did you bring it along from your mother's womb? If you offer God some water, that water itself is of this earth and it belongs to God. Then what is your own? This body of yours too was formed in your mother's womb by God's grace. Only your sins are your own, on which you can claim your right.

Just Think.. How Lucky You Are!!

Just think, we got this human body, we were born in India*, we got an association of a Saint who gave us the spiritual knowledge. Now consider how many of the world population are blessed with this fortune which we have got? How many of them, in thousands or lakhs are there who have received the grace of God as we have? Surely, you will realize that they are very few. Ponder over it time and again how great God’s grace on you is. If even a second before you die you are able to realize that you are so lucky to have received God’s grace in various forms, and that you have got the love and affection of a Saint who has always benefited you with his grace, then you will curse yourself if still despair has any place in your life.

" O ungrateful mind! I curse you. You are mean, miserable, wretched and yet God is so kind to you that he took you under his protection. And you have the audacity to ignore His Grace, to cause Him sadness. It is true that as He has crossed all limits of kindness and forgiveness, you have on your part crossed all limits of meanness and sinful acts. Why don't you take a pledge from today iteself to devote yourself completely to make Him happy? And the only way to make Him happy is again to take a pledge that -

we will not entertain any ill feeling for anybody even if he has used most hueting expression for us. We will always do a soul searching and be ever ready to correct our faults."

In this situation you should surrender your intellect to his holy feet and the despair will vanish. And if you die after the despair is gone, your life in your next birth will be full of hape and good luck. Therefore, always think how lucky you are to be blessed with the All Gracious Master. He is the embodiment of grace. Grace outside, grace inside, grace and only grace............

Jagadguru Mukharbind se......

Remember, that whenever any finally believes that Radha Krishn and Their name are one and the same and both have exactly the same Divine virtues and powers, at the very moment the soul becomes God realized; write it down in golden words.

God is so Gracious, He says, “I am omnipresent everywhere, but (O souls) you don’t recognize Me; I am in Golok, but there you cannot come; I am in your heart, but you don’t realize it; for your convenience I have thus kept ‘Myself’ in My ‘name’ and have revealed it in the world.”

Whenever your mind will fully conceive this Divine reality that I am truly and totally in My name, your voice will be choked while taking My name and even once when you will say “Radhey” your whole being will be thrilled with the excessive love; your mind will be drowned and your heart will be unceasingly overwhelmed with the felicity of the exhilarating Bliss of the name. Thus there is no delay in God realization and receiving the Divine Grace of your Master (Guru). Trust in these words, and see what your Master and krishn do for you...

Causeless Mercy...

There is no difference between God and Saints. The latter is God incarnate. After a Saint has realized God, he inherits God's bliss, God's knowledge and everything else that we associate with God. Not only this, God becomes a servant of His devotees (saint). In the Bhagavatam, Shri Krishna has gone to the extent of saying that He follows His devotees wherever they go in order to collect the dust of their feet so that He gets purified.

anubrajamyaham nityam puyeyetyamgrirenubhih

(Bhag. 11.14.16)

Just think for a moment how great a Saint is! Lord Krishna who ould not bother to visit the samadhi (state of deep meditation) of highly reputed paramhamsas, (those who have attained the final stage of jnan or yaga) and of the great sages who have done severe penance for ages and have lived only on air, is eagerly treading on the heels of a Saint. Just think, how lucky you would be if a personality so great is approachable to you. Now, what price have you paid to have him in front of you? A person who has some power or position would be unwilling to visit someone who is inferior to him, would not like to talk to him, and would have nothing to do with him. This is the way of the world. What is our status before a Saint who is the incarnation of God, the Lord of the infinite universes and who has an inexhaustible treasure of Divine Knowledge, Divine Love and Divine Bliss? He is the abode of all Divine powers. If you find him just in front of you, you should go mad with exultation, with tears rolling down your cheeks. oh, how fortunate I am that my Guru is standing before me and looking at me. If anyone is overwhelmed with this recurring thought, he need not perform any devotional practice.

Anywhere in the world, if a cavalcade of a V.I.P. - a Prime Minister or a President is passing through and a poor, crippled, shabbily dressed person standing in his field flags down his car and succeeds in shaking his hand, he will naturally be very happy because he knows that he will never be in a position to be able to greet a V.I.P. with a handshake in this life and about his next life only God knows. He would be so happy that he will tell everybody he meets, that he shook hands with the Prime Minister. if by any chance he could get a photograph of that occasion, then he will show that photo ever to the collector of his area to flaunt his clout saying that he knows the Prime Minister very closely. Similarly, if it so happens that a Saint shows up before you and also talks to you, it is his kindness towards you, which you can fully understand only when you have realized God. Did you do anything extraordinary or did you undergo any penance or perform any devotional practice to deserve this? Why should a Saint whose eyes always see Shri Radha Krishna and who is constantly immersed in the infinite bliss of Their Love, condescend to glance at a hellish creature, a filthy dirty individual who is not worth it? Look, e are extremely filthy. Not only from out side we look dirty, but also inside our body there is nothing except filth. Our mind too is full of dirt. And our intellect? It is even worse. Just imagine, if while serving us some food to eat, somebody should place beside it a dollop of human excreta, how queasy and repulsive we would feel! We will immediately stop eating and leave in disgust.

We are more nauseating than heaps of feces. If a Saint turns his eyes towards us, is it not something wonderful? He is complete in all respects. Is it not his causeless grace that he chose to look at extremely filthy person that we are? Why should he bother to look at a heap of garbage? We look away and close our nostrils tightly when our eyes meet foul-smelling night soil on our way. An ordinary mortal when finds by his side an unclean person giving off bad smell, would instantly wrinkle up his nose in disgust. There is no question of his hugging that dirty person. On the contrary, the saint has not only looked at us, he has talked to us too and asked where we live, etc. He has embraced us too!! What more grace do we need and can there be? The Saint is all the time deep in the infinite bliss of love. Whatever he does to us dirty people is only his CAUSELESS GRACE. If a person can realize its importance, he is sure to realize God without having to do any devotional practice. Even it for a minute or rather a second you could find him close by and you totally surrender to him believing him to be a genuine Saint, you will immediately have God realization and you will not have to do any devotional practice for that. Lord Ram stayed with Shabari just for a short while and not for many days. So even one second’s association with the Guru is so valuable for anybody that if he accepts him as a Saint, he doesn’t need to do any other devotional practice. He will be thrilled with pride and joy and will proudly tell others that he was so lucky that the Saint talked to him, whom he could touch as well. Whatever the Saint does to a living being is only his grace and nothing else.

If somebody comes and says that he was able to meet the Saint who talked to him and also embraced him but he did not gain anything. It is so because that person did not realize that grace. He did not realize its value and importance. It is like somebody is given a ring worth cores of rupee and he keeps it away just like that thinking it was just an ordinary ring. If he had realize its true worth he would have immediately kept it safely under lock and key. Unfortunately, this person does not give any importance to it nor does he have any feeling that he owns a precious ring. Similarly, if a person had a chance of meeting with the saint but if he does not understand his value, does not feel it from within that he is in possession of a priceless treasure, he will not understand its importance. Supposing that somebody is eager to see the Prime Minister, to talk to him and hug him and the Prime Minister in turn appears in disguise wearing dirty clothes with unkempt beard and all, and offers to embrace that person, what would be his reaction? Surely, that person will reel back in revulsion and snub him not knowing that he is the Prime Minister. A little later, shedding his ‘put on’ appearance the Prime Minister comes back in his real person with all his security and other paraphernalia that come with his power and position, That person now realize that he is in fact the Prime Minister, whom he could not recognize earlier. Now his yearning to talk to the Prime Minister and even to touch him intensifies.

So when we come to know the real worth of something that we have, we tend to develop special attachment for that thing. On the contrary, so long as we are ignorant of the worth of a thing that we have, e won’t be able to benefit from it. Thus, if we are not able to benefit from his presence, it is entirely our own fault. It does not mean that he is not a saint. We have access to the Saint who has showered enough love and affection on us and yet we are not benefited. What is the reason? An eminent logician approached Gaurang Mahaprabhu and said, “Maharaj, I have been in your company and at the same time I have criticized you a lot. I am a reputed logician. I am extremely skeptical with my mind full of doubts. This is the reason why I never surrendered to you. Sometimes I do feel like surrendering but then again doubts start troubling my mind: ‘No, he cannot be a Saint. No! No he must be a Saint No, No he may not be a Saint but he must be some special soul. I cannot say he is a Saint but special personality he is for sure’. This iss how my opinion goes on changing.” Mahaprabhu replied, Those with doubts and mistrust in their minds will be liberated very late. The logician than asked, After how many rebirths will I be liberated? There was a big peepal tree at that place. Gaurang Mahaprabhu said, Your liberation will take as many rebirths as the number of leaves this tree has. The logician became very happy. He believed that Gaurang Mahaprabhu was a true saint and therefore he could not be wrong and so he would be liberated after as many rebirths as the number of leaves on that tree.

Mahaprabhu did not really mean that. He had said so just like that. He was merely replying to a logician. He had not counted the leaves on the tree. It was off the cuff reply. But the logician really believed in it thinking that words uttered by a saint will come true. So the logician readily believed in the words spoken casually by Mahaprabhu and immediately thereafter Mahaprabhu revised his statement saying, you will attain liberation in your present lifetime only. Believing again in what Mahaprabhu uttered, the logician was beside himself with excitement. Oh, in this lifetime itself I will be liberated! Mahaprabhu noted what he was feeling at that moment. Both the Saint and God take into account the present state of a person and do not bother about what he thought or did in the past. They think of his present only. Now as his faith was growing up, he was coming closer to the state of total surrender. At this, Mahaprabhu further advanced his liberation by saying, You will be liberated today itself. He could not withstand the force of this explosive statement and was about to fall when Mahaprabhu said, you stand liberated here and now! It was the same Gaurang Mahaprabhu whom he used to meet daily. The logician was also the same. In fact, he had reached a stage of total surrender and had understood the value of what the Saints had said and believed in it and therefore he was rewarded with the causeless grace of the Saint, Did he do something beyond the ordinary to deserve it? Did he offer something to Mahaprabhu?

If somebody says that he has offered his body to his Guru then he should know that there is a lot of filth inside our body. If he says that he has given away his mind, his intellect, he should know they are no better, rather they are wore. Let me know what is it that you have to offer, which the Mahaprabhu could find worth touching or looking at or which is something useful. The more we accept the importance of a Saint the more benefited will we be. But we will still be benefited even if we don’t. May be a little less but benefited we will be sure. Even a glimpse of him has a beneficial effect.

When sage Narad visited Shri Krishna in Dvarika, Shri Krishna asked him to sit on the simhasan (throne) and he himself sat on the floor near his feet. He told Narad, Jut the sight of you has destroyed all My sins. You will naturally ask, What are God’s sins? You can take it like this that God is speaking on behalf of all living beings. A Saint’s mere appearance destroys our sins. If we are able to find a saint in front of us, it is a great thing and is not achievable by any means. It is only as a result of all-merciful Shri Krishna’s boundless grace that one can have a glimpse of a saint. An association with him weakens our tendency to commit a sin. Hence, if we can truly understand its importance and value and realize God’s grace, our present and future will be happy and prosperous.

Whatever way a saint treats us, whatever he does to us by seeing, hearing, smelling, touching, it is his love, his kindness, his grace, his causeless grace!
